Scholarships and Bursaries
We invest millions of pounds in financial support for students who choose to come and study here.
Scholarships for UK and EU domiciled students
For 25-26 the following scholarships are available:
- our Opportunity Scholarships are assessed based on household income. You may be eligible to receive a cash bursary of up to £2,000 per year.
- St Nicholas’ Educational Trust Scholarship supports students coming to our university from Newcastle and the surrounding area.
- The Edward Long Scholarship supports students from the North East who are care-experienced.
- Alner and Craner Scholarship supports Widening Participation students on any degree programme.
- North East IntoUniversity Scholarship supports students on any degree programme who engaged with the IntoUniversity Newcastle East centre.
- Newcastle University Sanctuary Scholarships designed to enable students from asylum-seeker backgrounds to progress to university.
